Spring/Summer 2024

Re-Rooted

Built around Sandra Sandor’s founding creative visions, the collection embodies Nanushka’s distinct brand spirit through elevated craft and conceptual techniques. Contemporary detailing and material innovation bring together nostalgia and circularity, transformed through new textures. Re-Rooted represents a turn to Nanushka’s underlying creative vision, transforming pieces into a refreshed and elevated offering.

The collection centers around nostalgia, circularity, and the process of re-rooting elements of Nanushka’s design history – both fabrication and inspiration – and transforming them into something new.

Oversized tailoring showcases the versatility of garments through unexpected pairings. In womenswear, silk viscose tweed offers a unique twist on the underlying silhouette, Contrasts continue to be expressed in styling and in fabrication, with shrunken shorts and tops styled with oversized tailoring, showcasing the versatility of garments through unexpected pairings.

Clothes that we may have grown out of are transformed into shrunken and oversized silhouettes, creating circularity in both production and design. We took inspiration from the synergy between Western style aesthetics and rural Hungarian references. New heritage detailing continues to be a focus, and this season we explored transforming deadstock fabrics into new textures and cuts.

Fringing remains a key design motif for Nanushka, and is explored in the Spring/Summer 2024 collection as an extension of regenerated leather shorts, creating a fluid, chap-like silhouette that visually contrasts with a boxy blazer.
